Warehouse is a physical or logical location where material like spares, raw material, scrap, finished goods etc is kept. Through this master you can add and maintain various warehouses of your company. IMMS provides a number of default categories under which Warehouses that store similar type of items can be defined. This helps in locating a particular Item much faster.
Once all Warehouses are defined, the next step is specify the default Warehouse and Inventory specific settings of each Item through Warehouse Inventory option.
A list of already defined Warehoused will be displayed as follows-
Enter any text you want to search in the list below. The search is applicable to all columns of the list. Once the text is entered, press <ENTER> key. As a result, the list will be refreshed with all those records that contain the entered text fully or partially. In order to go back to the original list, remove the text from the box and press <ENTER> key again.
Warehouse can be added, edited, and viewed in this master provided the Role associated with the currently logged-in user through User Management has the respective rights to do so.
To 'Add' Warehouses, click on the button and to 'Edit', click on the
icon on its corresponding record. To view a particular Item, <DoubleClick> on that record. As a result, following screen will be displayed -
You can 'Add' or 'Edit' a
Warehouse but you can not 'Delete' it. Although a Warehouse can be deactivated
through Activate/De-Activate Master option in Administrator
Tools Module.
Specify the Site while creating a new Warehouse. This field will remain disabled in case of 'Edit' and 'View' modes.
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, click on the field to access a list of Sites defined for the currently selected Company through Site Master option of Administrator Tools Module. Select your desired Site from the list by scrolling down to it and pressing <ENTER>. Alternatively you can also enter the Site Code.
Please note that only those Sites will be displayed/accepted for which the logged-in user has the rights to access.
In case of 'Edit and 'View, the Site of the selected Warehouse Code will be displayed automatically. You can NOT change it in 'Edit' mode.
Denotes the Type of Warehouse.
While 'Adding', select one of the options from the given popup to specify the type of Warehouse. IMMS allows to maintain following categories of Warehouses -

In case of 'Edit' and 'View', the Type of Warehouse for the selected Warehouse Code will be displayed automatically. You can NOT change it in 'Edit' mode.
(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 5)
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, enter a unique code for the Warehouse. This is the code by which a Warehouse will be referred to throughout IMMS.
In case of 'Edit' or 'View', Warehouse Code of the selected record will be displayed automatically. You can NOT change it in 'Edit' mode.
You can not 'Edit' a Warehouse that has been deactivated through Activate/De-Activate Master option in Administrator Tools Module.The help will also not display such Warehouses.
(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 25)
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, enter the full name for the Warehouse.
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', name of the Warehouse will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.
(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 120)
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, enter the full address of the Warehouse.
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', address of the Warehouse will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.
(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 120)

While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, click on the field to access a list of already existing Cities defined through City State Country Master option of Administrator Tools Module. Select your desired City from the list by scrolling down to it and pressing <ENTER>. Alternatively you can also enter the City .
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', name of the City will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse.
State of the selected City will be displayed automatically as entered through City State Country Master option of Administrator Tools Module.
(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 10)
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, enter the Pin Code of its area.
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', Pin Code will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse .
This field is enabled only if the Warehouse is Excisable or in other words, Excisable field is set as 'Yes'.
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, select one of the options from the given popup.
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', value of this field will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse Code. You can not change the value of this field.
This field is available only in case of 'Physical', 'Site',
'Customer Supplied' and 'Capital' type of Warehouses. In other cases,
it will remain disabled.
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, click on the flag to either turn it 'On' or 'Off'. But for 'KANBAN' type of Warehouse, this flag will be set as 'On' automatically and can NOT be changed by the user.
IMMS provides a facility to hide inventory of specific Warehouse from certain other related functions.
If the flag is 'On', IMMS will not display/consider inventory of specific Warehouse in -
Hence user will not be able to allocate items even though the inventory exists in the said warehouse. This facility can be useful if senior management wants to keep specific minimum stock of inventory for spares or finished product in a Warehouse.
If the flag is 'Off', IMMS will display inventory of specific Warehouse in all other related functions.
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', value of this flag will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse Code.
This field is available only in case of 'Physical', 'Customer
Supplied', KANBAN and 'Capital' type of Warehouses. In other cases, it will remain
disabled.
IMMS provides a facility to specify if a particular Warehouse should be considered for valuation or not.
While 'Adding' a new Warehouse, turn the flag 'On' if the Warehouse should be considered for valuation or 'Off' if it should not.
In case of 'Edit' and 'View', value of this flag will be displayed automatically as per the selected Warehouse Code.
Once you have entered all the information, click on 'Save' button to save or 'Cancel' button to discard. The control will go back to the list.
