Density Master

Density Master maintains a record of Density values for various Materials of Construction. As we know, IMMS provides a special facility to consider Dimension Items (Items which are consumed in terms of their dimensions) by maintaining their Dimensions. Weight of such Items is calculated by using their Formula and density value, i.e., Weight = Formula X Density where Formula is defined through Formula Builder option.

A list of all Materials of Construction defined though Codes Master Entry (Code Type = 'MR') option in Administrator Tools Module is displayed as follows-

The list will display all Materials of Construction along with their existing Density Values and Unit of Measurement for Weight which have been previously entered and saved. You can change them. Density values for rest of Materials will be displayed as zero. You can enter Density Values and Unit of Measurement for them .

To change or enter Density Value and Unit of Measurement, click on icon appearing at the top right position of the screen. The list will be displayed in edit mode as follows-

Field Description of Density Master

Density Value:

(Type : Numeric, Length : 4.20)

Denotes the Density Value of the Material of Construction.

Find the Material of Construction in the list for which you want to enter or edit the Density V value and click on the field. Now enter the value.

Weight Unit of Measurement:

Denotes the Unit of Measurement for the weight of the Material of Construction.

Find the Material of Construction in the list for which you want to enter or edit the Unit of Measurement and click on the field. A list of all Unit of Measurements defined though Codes Master Entry (Code Type = 'UM') option in Administrator Tools Module will be displayed. Select your desired UOM from the list by scrolling down to it and pressing <ENTER>.

Once you have entered all the information, click on 'Save' button to save or 'Cancel' button to discard. The control will go back to the list.
